InTechnicolour – Big Sleeper Song Review

Today we are featuring another promising sludge metal band; INTECHNICOLOUR, from the USA. We have reviewed their super dynamic song; Big Sleeper, along with its character, style, story, potential and more.

InTechnicolour is a promising progressive/sludge metal band I have discovered through Metalhead Community Submissions about 3 months ago with their irresistible song; Big Sleeper, off from their latest single and also long-play album with the same title which was released in 2020. The band is officially making releases since 2019. They have started their careers with a single called; Under the Sun in 2019, then released two more singles; Miami Funk/Doomer, and Big Sleeper, and their first full-length album; Big Sleeper, in 2020. Although the band seems kinda new and making releases just for about a year, their music sounds like they have been making music for way more than that. They have exceeded all the expectations we usually have from up and coming bands, which is admirable. Now, give the song a listen while reading the rest of the article.

Big Sleeper is a badass song, making the real difference with its irresistible dynamics and energy flow. This was the actual reason I have decided to bring them to Metalhead Community readership’s attention. The song flawlessly gallops all the way forward, never slows down the pace, and leaving its taste in your memory after listening to it once. The structure of the song is kinda simple yet there are so many progressive elements in the making. It is melodically and instrumentally very rich for a 4-minute long track, which is one of the strong sides of the band. InTechnicolour has separated themselves from other tons of bands who are making the same kinda music with their character, decisions, and understanding of music here. As you might also remember from some of my previous articles that most of the newly formed progressive rock/metal bands are missing the actual point while writing their songs, which is; melody. In this example, InTechnicolour has done an exceptional job by blending many creative ideas together in a very delicious way, keeping the energy level at maximum, and showing strong character in their music.

Technically, Big Sleeper has top class standards. This is one of the best sounding songs I have listened to in this specific genre for some time. Everything sounds super clean, clear, atmospheric, dynamic, very well balanced, mixed, mastered, and in great harmony. The technical side of the work is playing a big role in this great outcome without a doubt. I am not sure if they worked with a professional or produced their music by themselves, but in both ways the result is phenomenal.

When I take all these into account, I’d like to say that I am very positive about InTechnicolour. They have everything they need to make this dream come true. All they have to do is to continue making music while maintaining their standards. And time will take care of the rest!

Big Sleeper has earned its place in our TOP ROCK SONGS PLAYLIST on Spotify and STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to those who love progressive and sludge metal music!

Please go ahead and check out the links below if you’d like to find out more about the artist/band, follow them on social media and subscribe to their channels to show your support and also not to miss any upcoming releases.
