Chamel3on - Numbers - Song Review - Modern Math / Prog Rock from Denver, Colorado, USA

Today we are featuring a promising progressive rock band, Chamel3on, from Denver, Colorado, USA. I have reviewed their latest single, Numbers, along with its character, style, story, potential, and more.

Chamel3on is a promising modern math/prog-rock band I discovered about two weeks ago with their latest single, "Numbers", released on September 24, 2021. In case you haven't heard of Chamel3on before, these gentlemen have started their careers with a single called, Color Me Strange in 2021, and Numbers is only their second single since then. Now, please give the album a listen while reading the rest of the article.

When I think about the band Chamel3on as an upcoming band in general, I see a bright image. Their new single, Numbers, proves this, but not with what they have done in this particular song, but their potentials/capabilities.

Numbers is quite a complicated piece, glued together with the commercial vibes from the 2000s, old school British rock origins in the sound, dirty guitars, a wide range of influences, and modern progressive and math rock elements. First of all, I must admit that not every band or artist would dare making music with these specifics. In this case, the musical character of Chamel3on surely deserves our respect.

On the other hand, the band stands out with their intelligent songwriting among other things I have mentioned above. Modern progressive metal and metalcore music are quite trendy nowadays, and I frequently mention in my reviews that bands mostly copy each other's work. Although Chamel3on is a modern band, they successfully separated themselves from the rest of most bands in their genre, and Numbers is a good example to take a look at to understand why.

The technical side of Numbers is where the band's focus should be for their upcoming music. First of all, they have made an effort in finding Chamel3on's musical character here, and I respect that effort. Yet I must also add that they shouldn't stop at this point. For instance, the song makes the right impact energetically, which immediately made me think about Chamel3on's live performances. However, on the other hand, I can't say that I am happy with the overall mix in this song. There are a few reasons for this such as, the song doesn't sound good enough for me to enjoy it (it is dirtier than I can handle), I am not happy with the overall balancing and blending...

When I take all these into account, I'd like to say that I have had a good time listening to Chamel3on. Numbers is a promising step forward in their careers, which will bring this band nothing but respect in return.

Please go ahead and check out the links below if you'd like to find out more about the artist/band, follow them on social media, subscribe to their channels to show your support, and not miss any upcoming releases.

In conclusion, Metalhead Community Team congratulates Chamel3on for their new single, Numbers, and wishes them the very best in their future careers. Thank you for reading.
