Black Reuss – Metamorphosis Album Review

Today we are featuring a promising gothic industrial rock artist, BLACK REUSS, from Liechtenstein. I have reviewed their debut album, Metamorphosis, along with its character, style, story, potential, and more.

Black Reuss is a promising new band, as well as their sound, one of the most impressive sounds I have heard for a long time. I discovered about these gentlemen a month ago with their debut album, “Metamorphosis“, which was released on June 4, 2021Now, please give the album a listen while reading the rest of the article.

Black Reuss is a fantastic blend of specific qualities of different bands and styles such as HIMRammsteinMetallica (especially LoadReloadGarage Inc. eras), Alice in Chains, and Ghost. I must admit that I am quite impressed by their standards for a debut album.

Black Reuss has two professionally filmed music videos where we can also have an idea about their visuals, theme, and mood. In my opinion, they have also succeeded with their artistic side, as well as their vision. I am aware that both videos don’t have the standards of those established bands I have mentioned above, yet these are admirable works for an upcoming band that we don’t see happening very often.

Musically, the band stands out with their origins as a fact. I grew up listening to good old-school stuff such as this one, and enjoyed every single second of Metamorphosis album. First of all, the album has a beautiful flow, none of these songs are too similar to each other, never dropping the excitement from the beginning to the end. Compositions are nowhere near anything standard even though they have traditional rock influences in their song structures.

Additionally, the band has also applied their influences from various modern rock, such as GhostDepeche Mode, and Rammstein. The electronic side of these bands successfully filtered, brought back to life in a dark and groovy tone. All these might sound impossible to imagine at first, just trust me, this is good music.

The technical side of the work deserves one of the best-sounding modern rock albums of the year award from me. It is super lively, real, natural, spacy, and very well-balanced album, exceeding every single expectation we usually have from up-and-coming bands. Also, this isn’t just a great-sounding album for me, the success of its producer has credit as significant as the composers and performers, where I should also reveal the truth; this is only a one-man project. Written, produced, and handled keys by Maurizio Dottore.

When I take all these into account, I’d like to say that I am impressed by Black Reuss. They have a magnificent sound, fantastic music, and I don’t see any reason why they couldn’t make it to the top of the world in the future!

Please go ahead and check out the links below if you’d like to find out more about the artist/band, follow them on social media, subscribe to their channels to show your support, and not miss any upcoming releases.
