The Algorithm - Readonly - Song Review - Electronic Metal from Perpignan, France‎

Today we are featuring a promising electronic metal band, The Algorithm, from Perpignan, France‎. I have reviewed their latest single, Readonly, along with its character, style, story, and potential.

The Algorithm is actually a one-man project of Rémi Gallego, composer, software developer, and tech enthusiast. I have heard about his project about two months ago and couldn't resist this incredible musicality. Let me go into the details below.

I am a big fan of composers who write music for movies and video games such as Hans Zimmer, Jeff Van Dyck, and Jeremy Soule. The Algorithm caught my attention with their similar approach, even though I personally don't necessarily listen to any electronic music at all. Readonly, is one of those good examples which I believe would be a perfect fit for any futuristic or post-apocalyptic movie or video game. The song has the essential quality in its storytelling, flow, and energy.

On the other hand, the composition is quite complex and progressive, immediately pulling the listener into its world with its atmosphere. The song begins with its brutal main riff, where we also hear some kind of coding as an additional cinematic effect. Most importantly, this draws an image in the listeners' minds, a dramatic, dark, and futuristic world. And I must also admit that this is one of the few projects that I haven't heard of any weaknesses both musical and technical.

Technically, Readonly has the necessary industry standards in its recording and mix, as I have mentioned above. I loved the balancing in general, as well as the energy flow, dynamics, and solid character in The Algorithm's music.

When I take all these into account, I'd like to say that I've had a good time listening to The Algorithm. Rémi Gallego is showing huge potential with his musical character here, and I would be happy to see his music as a movie soundtrack someday.

Please go ahead and check out the links below if you'd like to find out more about the artist/band, follow them on social media, subscribe to their channels to show your support, and not miss any upcoming releases.
