Siriun – Mass Control Song Review

Today we are featuring another promising groove metal band; SIRIUN, from BRAZIL. We have reviewed their monstrous song; Mass Control, along with its character, style, story, potential and more.

Siriun is a promising heavy/groove metal band I have discovered through Metalhead Community Submissions about 3 months ago with their irresistible song; Mass Control, off from their debut single with the same title, which was released in 2017. They have started their careers with this single called; Mass Control, following with another single in the same year; Intent, and their first full-length album; In Chaos We Trust in 2018. These Brazilian gentlemen are showing great potential not only with their music but also with their great standards in their music and experience. After watching their music video and listening to this song for a few times, I felt like they are the ones who’ll take the flag from Pantera and become the next big thing in the metal scene for a second. Well, please give it a listen while reading the rest of the article.

Mass Control is one of those songs that makes it impossible for you not to bang your head while listening to it. Hands down. This is one of the best sounding metal songs in this specific genre I have listened to for a very long time. The overall energy level of the song is beyond everything and you even don’t care about what’s playing. However, the song itself has also some badass old-school metal pieces blended deliciously here. Siriun has certainly done a phenomenal job by keeping everything as simple as possible, focusing more on the overall energy. The structure of the song is kinda easy listening and traditional, as we used to hear from bands from the ’90s. Honestly, I have always loved listening to pure metal songs like these with the traditional vibes in it, and I am sure I am not the only one who thinks that way.

Siriun released this song in 2017 and I can easily say that the song was quite a success (you can confirm it by checking its streamings on Spotify or views on Youtube). Many respected publishers such as Metal Hammer, Metal Injection, Revolver Magazine, and Metal Sucks featured them, gave super positive feedbacks. Honestly guys, sometimes I feel like metalheads only want music with storming energy where they suck it in while listening to the record and watching the band playing live, more than anything. Such as in our example here, Mass Control is simply what every metal music fan wants.

Technically, Mass Control has top-class standards as I have also mentioned above. The producer has done an exceptional job along with the musicians and has a key role in this successful outcome. I was blown away when I watched the music video of this song for the first time. As I said earlier, as long as it sounds this good, you don’t really care what they play or sing about. This very sound itself is the actual reason we all fell in love with this music. Everything is super clear, clean, powerful, dynamic, punchy, very well handled, mixed, balanced, and in great harmony. And I also would like to share a piece of brief information about the band this time because I really think that it matters for all our readers.

SIRIUN is the brainchild of vocalist and guitarist Alexandre Castellan. The band brings a furious and blistering merging of varied creative winds within extreme metal. Driven by a forward-thinking, an intensively striking and a ferocious proposal, their debut album ‘In Chaos We Trust’, features Kevin Talley (Chimaria, Suffocation, Six Feet Under) on drums, mastering by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Suicide Silence) and artwork by Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquillity).

When I take all these into account, I’d like to say that I am blown away by the potential of Siriun. They have taken me back to the ’90s golden metal days with their drive and there’s absolutely nothing else I could possibly ask from a metal song. It has been a while they are not making any releases and I am sure there are so many people who are already waiting for a move from them including me!

MASS CONTROL has earned its place in our TOP METAL SONGS PLAYLIST, and STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to those who love ’90s pure metal music!

Please go ahead and check out the links below if you’d like to find out more about the artist/band, follow them on social media and subscribe to their channels to show your support and also not to miss any upcoming releases.
