Ordem – Mad Mirror Song Review

Today we are featuring another promising groove metal band; ORDEM, from FRANCE. We have reviewed their phenomenal song; Mad Mirror, along with its character, style, story, potential and more.

Ordem is a promising groove metal band I have discovered through Metalhead Community Submissions about 3 months ago with their monstrous song; Mad Mirror, off from their latest single with the same title which was released in 2020. The band is officially making releases since 2017. They have started their careers with an EP album called; No Pit For The Weak (2017), and continued with three singles; World’s Issues (2018), Never Changed (2020) and Mad Mirror (2020). These Frenchmen are making the actual difference with their irresistible energy level and drive in their music just like the previous band we have featured here on Metalhead Community. Now, I strongly recommend giving it a listen while reading the rest of the article!

I have realized something today after listening to this song a few times on repeat, which is that I don’t usually listen to this style for a very long time. There are so many bands out there making traditional metal with the modern approach such as Devil Driver, Hellyeah and so on.. I was feeling like bands with this specific music style are mostly repeating themselves when it comes to creativity, until the moment I discovered phenomenal bands like Ordem. The problem is not actually on the music style itself, it is all about the feeling in music sometimes. And this is why I immediately approved Mad Mirror after listening to it only once.

The structure of the song has a good balance between simplicity and complexity. Neither instrumentation nor the build itself is too complicated. The overall energy level is phenomenal, and it is impossible to stop banging your head while listening to it. The band has a delicious touch on every single element here. For instance, I am quite surprised by the way they built the whole traffic. There are many ups and downs yet the listener never feels like the excitement is lost anyhow. Listening to Mad Mirror at maximum volume feels like watching a 3 minutes long Mission Impossible footage to me. The groove itself is so powerful it immediately pulls the listener into its world. Besides, the song has super addictive elements all along the way which stays in your memory for some time. And I guess the most badass thing about this song is that you immediately want to see these lads kill it live on a festival like Wacken! Can’t imagine the pit!

Technically, Mad Mirror has phenomenal standards and it has played a key role in this successful outcome. The producer has done an amazing job. He understood the band, their desires, potential, style, and character properly, which is admirable. I’d like to congratulate every single person who has taken part in the making of this remarkable piece of work!

When I take all these into account, I’d like to say that I am super impressed by Ordem. Mad Mirror might not be the kick the band is looking for at the moment but I really think that it is always going to be a badass hell (pit) opener track in every single festival they play in the future!

Mad Mirror has earned its place in our TOP METAL SONGS PLAYLIST and STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to those who love badass groove metal music!
