Nomvdic – Legacy Song Review – Metalhead Community

Today we are featuring another promising progressive deathcore band; Nomvdic, from Florida, the USA. We have reviewed their fascinating song; Legacy, along with its character, style, story, potential and more.

Nomvdic is another promising progressive metal band I have discovered through Metalhead Community Submissions about three weeks ago with this song; Legacy, off from their latest release; Reach, which was released in 2018. Nomvdic is one of those bands who has the potential to make a big difference in their specific genre in the future while they open new windows in listeners’ minds with their approach in music. Never underestimate the power of intelligent songwriters/composers such as on this example. They are the only ones giving hope for the next generations unlike those names in the mainstream.

Legacy is a monstrous, evil sounding, super powerful song, structured with some delicious progressive elements and ideas. They are still at the beginning of their career, and I can hear huge Meshuggah and Killswitch Engage influence on their music, which is totally fine. It is always a great pleasure seeing bands like them trying to make something remarkable. As I have also mentioned on some of my previous articles that I really believe the world is done with repeating itself in every sphere as well as in music. We are so lucky to live in a time where opportunities are endless and limitations are only in our minds. Nomvdic is kinda band who reminded me of all these. When I take a closer look at them as a whole band, I can see both traditional and also a modern side. They are kinda old-fashioned in what they do and how they do things, a way of doing things that we all respect and admire the most. On the other hand, they are advanced musicians, showing great potential with their intelligent songwriting and non-standard compositions.

Nomvdic - Legacy Song Review - 04

Technically, Legacy has great standards. Hands down. I really liked their sound. It is powerful as a punch and evil like a demon. In this matter, I’d like to congratulate their producer for understanding the band, their desires, style, potentials, and offering another magnificent record to the world. There’s only one small thing that I can criticize their work. I have mentioned of their inspirations earlier. Look, it is totally fine to have the same vibe in your music at some point with no doubt. But having the same exact detailed kinda job which characterizes those bands, is something that I would not go for. For instance, those “cuts” (a.k.a. rest or silent note) on the sound wave at the chorus section has become a signature of Killswitch Engage in time. Briefly, the potential and the talent is there, someone very experienced should guide them to become the masters of their own ideas. Additionally, this is just my idea and preferences, I have huge respect for their every decision in the making of this record, I give them that.

When I take all these into account, I’d say that I am well-impressed by Nomvdic’s abilities and potential. They are surely on the right track in their careers, very likely to offer great things in the future and make this world a much better place.

Please go ahead and check out the links below if you’d like to find out more about the band, follow them on social media and subscribe to their channels to show your support and also not to miss any upcoming releases.
