Fabian Secon – Annihilation Song Review

Today we are featuring another promising rap/metal artist; Fabian Secon, from the UK. We have reviewed his successful song; Annihilation, along with its character, style, story, potential and more.

Fabian Secon is another promising alternative/rap/trap/metal artist I have discovered through Metalhead Community Submissions about a month ago with this song; Annihilation, off from his latest single with the same title, which was released in 2019. Fabian Secon is a very successful artist who has been periodically making single releases since 2016 and he has achieved to get 25 million streams online in his short career. This is a remarkable achievement indeed.

Honestly, I am not sure how to define Fabian’s music style. There is a big influence of rap music but it doesn’t quite sound like any rap that we know of. Only, in this particular music style, people are bound to play for mainstream trends, so I can understand that he has been releasing single albums since then. Annihilation is one of the very few one of the most addictive songs I have listened to lately. Hands down. It is super simple, standard, easy-going yet extremely addictive. There’s a delicious distorted guitar on the back, playing one or two power chords all over the way to the end. Fabian, apparently, used this guitar pattern as his foundation and built everything else upon it. Like I said earlier, it is quite simple and repetitive. I personally loved his approach. He has his own way of doing things in music and I kinda liked it as well. Rather than bothering or stimulating examples out there, Fabian’s music is much more atmospheric just like on this example. It can play on the back thousands of times on repeat while you do something and no one would mind it.

Technically, Annihilation has good standards in every way. This music style is mostly digital so it is kinda hard for me to talk about its characteristics. What I can say is that the song has an amazing harmony and an irresistible atmosphere in general. I don’t think there would be anything else to do to make it sound better. This outcome is totally satisfying. Everything is perfectly balanced, mixed, polished and mastered. The producer has done a remarkable job as well.

When I take all these into account, I’d like to say that I am well impressed by Fabian Secon’s potential, music, and achievements. Annihilation is a very successful piece of work which definitely will take him to the next level in his musical career!
